The LGPS requires employers to take an active role in administering the scheme on behalf of scheme members, your employees.

Absences

Use absence 1 to alert employees that a period of unpaid leave may affect their pension and that they need to take their own steps.

Issue the absence 2 template letter on return to work. This letter provides your employee with all the information they need to obtain a quote and an application form using the LGPS interactive tool.

  • where to find more information
  • who to contact for more information
